....... that was fascinating. You know, i think that's part of the reason i remain in this fandom (of the many many reasons LOL) is because Darren fascinates me and part of that fascination has become how he finds new ways to fascinate me that have bits of old fascination braided into this beguiling whole.

That video, for me, had flavours of U2's "Even Better Than The Real Thing"/Zoo TV as well as George Michael's "I Want Your Sex" but wow what a way to take such potentially sensual imagery and subtly bend it to display vulnerability. And Darren really is the male Angelina Jolie, which sounds like a dig but it's not, i'm just impressed by his mouth! That still sounds wrong :X LOL But i think that was a bold move to mix this "candid" footage in with the close-ups and the profile against the screen, it was really effective. Some of the shots looks more candid than others, but i'm willing to give things the benefit of the doubt because putting Darren in front of any camera seems to have umpredictable results LOL

All the fan footage makes an interesting point, I wonder if that was intentional or not. Is it a "ha ha you won't touch me but all these girls will!" moment of defiance or a "only fangirls will touch me now!" moment of self-pity? Neither? You tell me! heh heh.

And wow did Darren ever have a short lion's mane in a number of the shots, i wasn't aware he styled it back and how blond it was, how old do you think that footage is? I did notice they slowed down some of the shots to either look more mournful or catch a look on Darren's face. Any info who directed/editted this video?

Think I saw somewhere that it was his friend Grant Marshall but I wouldn't swear to it...I'm a bit out of touch with what is going on. Still haven't seen the video...everytime I've tried it has been a dead end for me.
